Leo Stableford If any alien intelligence ever accosts you with the question; "What is industrial music?" then you could do worse than to hand them a copy of this album. Sure, it doesn't cover some of the fringes of the genre but the space it occupies right in the centre of the things that make solid, astounding industrial are all here. It's a deeply satisfying, hard-hitting, inspiring, anthemic piece of work that would be hard to equal, let alone beat. Favorite track: Mainlining Tension.

about

Chicago-based Cyanotic continues the nearly 15 year course of progress, offering danceable chaos and synthetic precision with Tech Noir, a loving tribute to classic and current cyberpunk/industrial music culture, and a nod to the nightclub featured in The Terminator (1984). A digitized onslaught of old and new school, with an effective range of electronic versatility.

Striking balance between synthetic order and frenzied chaos, the band's 2017 release "Tech Noir" serves as a welcome updating of their loving homage to electronic music culture and classic cyberpunk tropes. North American Tour details coming soon. ... more
